A rare matched pair of Bizen ha-gata (leaf-form) coasters — each one hand-formed in the shape of a natural leaf, with incised vein detail radiating from the stem. Fired in a traditional anagama wood-burning kiln, each piece carries the unmistakable marks of authentic Bizen firing: warm hidasuki straw-flash in terracotta orange, and botamochi dark medallions where kiln atmosphere pooled deepest. No glaze. No pigment. Only clay, fire, and time. Artist-signed. A pair — but not identical, because the kiln never fires twice the same.
