Vintage Japanese Porcelain Vase Gyozan Kyoto Hand Painted Noh Bokusai

A rare signed Gyozan kiln vase from Kyoto, decorated in bokusai - the classical Japanese technique of ink-drawn outlines fused with amber, celadon, and smoke-grey glazes. The painterly composition wraps the entire body with abstracted figures from Noh theater, an ox-cart wheel (gissha), and star-burst snow medallions. Accompanied by its original tomobako wooden presentation box, signed and inscribed. One of a kind.
